Synonym Word Match Game - Language Arts Teacher Supply
Synonyms are words or phrases that means exactly or nearly the same as another word or phrase. For example - the words "start" and "begin" mean the same thing.
How to Play:
- You can play a classic memory game with these frog word cards. Flip all the frogs over and begin by flipping two frogs over. If you get a synonym match then you remove the two frogs and continue to play. The player with the most matches wins! You can make the game easier by reducing the number of synonym word pairs at play. Start with 5 pairs and work your way up.
- You can also play as an independent matching game - Flip all the frogs with the words up and find the synonym pairs.
- 30 thick cardboard matches (61 pieces total, one instruction card)
- Frogs measure - 4" x 3 1/2"
Perfect activity to reinforce concepts. This makes a great supplement to the curriculum by being a learning center activity or a fun and educational challenge for individuals or groups.
