Compound words are created when 2 words are joined together to create a new meaning Examples include: firefly, softball, redhead, keyboard, makeup, notebook.
How to Play:
Simply match the 3 pieces to complete the 50 compound word puzzles. Children start with a large puzzle piece showing a compound word (ex. mailbox) They must then find the 2 words that are joined together to make the compound word. ("mail" and "box")
- 50 thick cardboard puzzles (150 pieces total) Complete puzzles are 4" x 4"
- Box measures 4.25" x 4.25" x 3.75"
Perfect activity to reinforce concepts. This makes a great supplement to the curriculum by being a learning center activity or a fun and educational challenge for individuals or groups.
